when i was younger, i LOVED watching the movie peter pan. i would watch it at least once a week. but whenever peter pan would say he didn’t want to grow up- i didn’t understand why he wouldn’t want to. to the little 9-year-old me, being all grown up and able to get a job, get married, and have my own “monies” was all i ever wanted.

but now, 20-year-old me would give anything to find neverland. and..

i.don’t.want.to.grow.up.

so.

i am SO behind on school work right now that i want to cry. so instead of starting on and getting things done, imma to blog, tumble, whatever you call this- procrastination at it’s finest. no big.

there are so many things on my mind these days, and i don’t even know where to start.

school is so intense right now; i am so ready for it to be over with. it is super hard to have my heart completely in music and try to keep my head in school. is it possible to be totally invested in both? i feel like the answer is ‘no’. and the worst part is- i always feel like i have to get a’s. it’s like this never ending pressure i’ve had since the beginning of my ‘school career’. i guess it comes from my parents always telling me never to be satisfied with average or mediocre. a gift and a curse, right? i’m trying to stay positive and just get through the semester.. as for next semester? stay tuned. 

music is going so great. i just got back 5 rough mixes that are going to be on my next release. i am so excited for you to hear them; i can hardly wait to show them to you. they’re fresh off the heart, raw feelings and emotions. i hope you can relate. sometimes it’s just so nice to know that someone, somewhere out there, feels the same way i do/did. 

i’ve been listening to a TON of super indie/folk stuff lately. and loving it.

oh, and i am going to be 20 next month. not really sure how i feel about that. in my mind, i’ve been 15 for the past 5 years, but at the same time, i feel so old. if that makes any sense? ha. i don’t know. 20 is just so different from 19. i’m not going to be a teenager anymore, but that’s good right? it’s good to grow up… well, it’s kind of inevitable, so might as well embrace it, right? ha. 

all in all. i am so full of emotion right now, just waiting to put it all into song. ha. seriously though, so much material to write about.

nothing goes as planned, and usually for a good reason. there’s always something good waiting on the other side- a light at the end of the tunnel, if you will. can’t wait to find it.

ok, now going to get started on the mounds of homework. hope i get it all done. cross your fingers for me?
